Now practice practice practice, 2009 is almost over and I still suck.Drawn from a reference book:
S'more in color, drawn while watching dvd... "The Good, The Bad, The Weird" is a korean western movie I bought in 2008, it's got no subtitles and since I'm not that fluent in korean I read the story on wikipedia and just enjoyed the very well-done actionscenes.
Here is a trailer, just in case you've never heard of it: Good Bad Weird Trailer
And my first try using Painter since 2007 or something. This is terribly difficult for me, I've been drawing in Photoshop for so long that I expect Painter to work in a similar way, but it doesn't. I guess I could set it up to make the brushes work like in photoshop, but that wouldn't make a lot of sense.
Drawn from old photographs I got lying around (gotta ask mom who these ladies are):
Self-portraits from life, because then I can set the light-situation up as I please. (Left is Painter, then I gave up, so right ones are PS):
After getting cramps in every braincell from being too stupid to use Painter properly I just drew something easier in photoshop. So there, Scout and Girlscout:
In the future, I should just spend a tiny bit of time cleaning up my sketches so I wouldn't end up with wonky anatomy all the time after coloring.
I miss this game, haven't played in months :' /
Pseudo-retro Blu Mom:
Unrelated WIPs, more on this later(maybe), things in progress for after effects practice, i lovelovelove that program SO HARD ( had to do a music video earlier this year, will post it at some point ):
Okay I'm just dreaming about that one, I could never animate it the way I want it. The second one is more do-able, posting WIPs at this point is kinda useless, but what the hell. It's gonna be a short story based on 'The boy who cried wolf' ...just trying to find a look:
This is like half a sheet of paper, I take the most miniature notes:
I'm so hungry but I'm too tired to cook something...please food, make yourseheelf Y_Y
